May 2015

May was a busy month - We went to a concert. Diane and I drove to a wedding on a girls' trip. We visited Gina and Steve for the traditional Memorial Day weekend. AND - I completed 30 years in Fulton County Schools and retired - sort of.

Media friends met on May 14th for our last get together. Penny got me a cookie.

And she got me a balloon. (and a gift card)

Diane and I drove to Edisto Island, SC for Mike and Janice's son's wedding.

We received a tide schedule. I didn't understand why until later. This is our view from the condo. Water in the bay.

Tree lined dirt road going to the beach. Very peaceful.

A well groomed path to the ocean

Trees line the shore.

You are not to remove shells so people decorate trees and bushes with them.

Here is our view when the tide is low. It is mud.

It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have attended. The venue was gorgeous and the weather was perfect.

Mother's Day flowers from Austin.

Typical Cathy! Retiring co-worker.

Cake from Gina and Steve. It was sooooo good.

Walking back from the boat, I thought I heard a squirrel. It was a baby deer! Watch the video below.

College roommates - still feel the love!

Dianne and Kay came to Atlanta for Memorial Day weekend. They spent Saturday night with me. It was cool enough for a fire and smores.

Lake Allatoona - Kelsey and Austin on the jet ski.

Fun on the lake - Gina, Alan, Austin, Kelsey, and Amanda
